As the leading Institution of Centrla Provincial Council for providing Engineering consultancy services of building works, Deputy Director (Engineering Services) Structural Design Section of Engineering Services Department provide Engineering Designs/ Drawings for the entire construction works considering the emergency disasters, standard specifications, durable, safety, stable, sustainable, cost effective and practically achievable. This is done by providing the consultancy services of required Engineering Designs to enrich the development, enhancement of the infrastructure according to the requirements of people who live in Central Province. In addition to that this section is a reputed institution for training junior Engineers to get their charter qualifications under the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). Inspection , guidance and co-ordination of the works done by material laboratory to maintain the required quality control of the construction work is also done by Deputy Director (Engineering Services) Structural Design Section.

Design Training of Engineers , for their professional review (Charter) . IESL reputed Design Training Institute from 2005. So far we have trained over 35 Engineers for their charter.
